There 's a whole lot to love about this place, from its humble beginnings on Fairbanks with their walk up window to now multiple locations throughout central Florida...4 Rivers is top notch bbq. This new location on Fairbanks is very nice and has ample parking along with quite a bit of seating inside and an inside outside option as well. If you 've never been, would you walk in it set up for you to walk up to the counter and order what type of meat you would like, then along cafeteria style with all of the sides until you get to the cash register. Where is Johnny and what has happened to this place?? Have been taking out and catering from them for years, even since their original location. It 's the only place we 'd get BBQ from and for so long was THE place for BBQ. But the last 4-5 times have shown disappointing changes. The good: burnt ends, sausage, and sides are still great for the most part. And Cole slaw is best in town. However, the quality, service and serving sizes are not what they used to be.... Delicious! Absolutely delicious! 2x2 is the way to go! You get two meat choices and two sides. I ended up getting the burnt ends and brisket. Both were absolutely melt in your mouth good. Burnt ends needed no sauce, but if you wanted dipping sauces for the brisket, you have a choice of three that are at your table. I ended up with the cheesy grits and fried okra and was super pleased. My husband ordered the bacon wrapped jalapeños and the smoke corn. The corn was smoked perfectly and the kernels were crisp. Finally was able to try 4 Rivers, and the food did not disappoint. You come in order assembly line style, pay, and then seat yourself. I got the pulled pork sandwich, Mac and cheese, and bread pudding. The pulled pork was delicious, tender, and melted in your mouth. The sauces on the table paired perfectly with the pork. The Mac and cheese is very heavy and I would give it 3/5 nothing too special. The bread pudding solid 5/5 it's just heavy and very sweet but it is delicious. The brisket here is also fantastic and even more tender than the pork. The sweet tea is also a must try.
