We've been going to Aigue Marine several times a year for about eight years now. I rate it as one of the best restaurants au bord du mer at St Laurent du Var. The menu has a great selection of fish, both as entrees and plats. Favourites include smoked salmon, which they smoke themselves: it is a gourmet item compared to the slimy vacuum packed salmon from Scotland and Norway. The oysters never fail to please (Marenne, number 2). Coquilles St Jacques are always generous in size and quantity and perfectly cooked. We went last week spontaneously to this restaurant my boyfriend and I. We live in Nice and check out regularly restaurants in the region. This one was a very positive surprise. Under all restaurants in St. Laurent de Var, this one interested me the most and we did enjoy our night there. The service was excellent and the waiter was on top of things. Even though the menu is simple, it was of good quality and delicious. We choose the Bandol wine, which was very good with the salmon. We took friends for Sunday lunch. I've been to Aigue Marine at least 20 times, and this is my third review. I cannot fault this restaurant. Wonderful friendly staff, excellent cuisine, imaginative French menus (English translation available). Very strong on fish, but carnivores can get excellent steak. Oysters always prepared very nicely. Fantastic location with lovely views of the sea front. Parking is easy (but be prepared to pay in the peak season). Excellent wine list at modest prices (less expensive than Nice anyway). Reservations recommended. Most of those taking lunch today were regulars and locals. There were few tourists.
We were back yesterday for a fabulous New Year Day lunch. Four courses, with choices of course. Restaurant packed with locals, family groups, making a great atmosphere. The food offer is outstanding and the prices reasonable for what you get. This is a restaurant in which to celebrate being on the Cote d'Azur. We've already booked for Easter Sunday 2012! Good and attentive service. Great food, not exceptional but very French, reasonable price. Saw very different tablrs around me. Solo biz, larger but intimate group, friends, couples. .. and me, solo biz traveller.Also good location, looking over the sea. Only downside for single biz travellers there is no good wine by the glass
After an early flight and check in to our hotel we decided to have lunch. We chose the menu with a starter of raw and smoked salmon, two times fish for main and dessert du jour. We had a wonderful bottle of wine with it and water. Staff was friendly and kept an eye on our wineglasses. Thank you for the great lunch!
I thought it was a nice pleasant visit.The prices were reasonable and the servers very cheerful.They looked after is from start to finish ensuring our wine glasses were topped up.I liked what I ate. Was a lot of choice for people who enjoy fish. Good meal.

I have been to this restaurant several times. They have a good menu for 27 euros including appetizer, entree and dessert. It has good selections. I also like the service and the attention.
