When I visited Hilton Head Island I visited several restaurants from little holes in the walls to big establishments like Poseidon. Out of every place I went none did I like and felt as fulfilled as when I went to Blue Laguna. I had a horchata, the beef, and the chicken chimichanga and all of them were delicious. I had never had a horchata before but now I?m hooked, and out of the two chimichangas the beef was my favorite but they both were outstanding. Again this was my favorite food my hole trip to Hilton Head Island and Savana GA and it was half the price of a fancier ?nicer? restaurant like Poseidon. I would say OKAY for food. But oveeall experience is not good. NOT SURE HOW THEY GOT GOOD REVIEWS. It 's just an average mexican restaurant. Not even good. Have ordered a grilled seafood Arroz Con Marisocs and all seafood are boiled (and too much boiled) while it supposed to be grill. When I asked why is it, our server says this is the way it is. So clearly the chef server doesn 't know, what 's the definition of Grill . AND above all, they just charged 15% gratuity as default while we are just 2(+1 kid) people. From the margarita and flavorful salsa, we were hooked. But then we got our meals, and let me tell you. Best Mexican food I have had in long time. The chipotle steak quesadilla was creamy, spicy, and absolutely scrumptious. My husband had the burritos (which he often gets) and he said it was the best burritos of anywhere. We will ABSOLUTELY return when we visit again!!
This was the surprise of our trip. And in a really good way. The service was a little slow, but the staff was working hard. All of our food was flavorful and large portions. The pricing is reasonable. The decor is okay (a little cheesy). At the end of the day, it is all about the food and it delivers. Highly recommend.
