This restaurant is only a 5 minutes walk away from the central railway station of Bern. It is outside the tourist area and it seems to be visited more by the locals then tourists. For me, that is often a good sign. Guests are seated in one of 4 parts of the rooms, 2 parts are a little elevated which gives in intimate feeling (unlike large rooms). Veggi, fish and meat are on the menu which is not that large ... and for Brasserie11 it means: all fresh ingredients. Amuse-bouche was offered, and food was delicious. When you step out for a business lunch the fact that eateries have a specific lunch menu is so that your turnaround time is quicker than if you were to order from an a-la-carte menu, today this was not the case, between a starter salad and the main course was at least 20 minutes.The quality of the food was average with my pasta dish only warm when it arrived, maybe this was as a result of the service delay...
Ich war zur Mittagszeit in der Brasserie11. Das Mittagsmenü war einfach und bestand aus 3-Tagesmenüs und einigen anderen individuellen Vorspeisen und Hauptgerichten. Das Essen war durchschnittlich, die Lage ist ok, aber der Service ist unglaublich langsam! Auch ohne volles Restaurant!...Ich möchte es lieber nicht erleben, wenn es voll ist!
Was there for dinner with a friend. Got a cosy place a little off the main room but still well connected to it. Service was helpful, attentive and efficient. Food was excellent. I was during lunch time in the Brasserie11. The lunch menu was simple consisting of 3 day menus and some other individual starters and main course. The food was average, the location is ok but the service is incredibly slow! Even without a full restaurant! I'd rather not experience it when it is packed!
I think the owners of the restaurants change, in any case the cook did. Apart from feeding of us frozen vegetables and badly made eating (it was so bad, I actually asked if it is justified to pay for them) the tartaric acid that was served was from expired. oiled meat, already blue and purple.
Habe mit meinem Mann einen kleinen Happen gegessen, was für ein Genuss! Bietet tolles frisches Essen und wunderbare regionale Spezialitäten. Wir hatten die weiße Spargelsuppe, die wirklich hervorragend war. Sehr gemütlich, sowohl drinnen als auch draußen.

Everything was ok. We went a couple of times at noon, there was always 2 affordable menus (16/17CHF) with soup or salad. The personal was very friendly.
