If there is one reason that I give this place a full five star rating is because they have goat on the menu. Do you know how hard it is to find a restaurant that serves goat, let alone one where you can actually walk...in any time and it will be available. Okay, I have only had takeaway here, though you can also eat in (I usually order take away at Indian restaurants). Unfortunately I can't comment on the vindaloo simply because there is only one thing that I ever order when I come here, and that is the goat. By far the best Indian food I have tried in Melbourne. The food is very authentic. No sweet, watered down curries and bland kebabs like most Indian takeaways! Some standout dishes are the tandoori chicken, lamb/goat kadai and the chicken vindaloo. Great naans etc as...well. Hot is very hot, so be careful while ordering, it's a challenge even for someone ethnically Indian like myself. I have used this restaurant for catering for a small family functions for about 20 people as well and the food received rave reviews. Everything is freshly prepared so it's a small wait but worth it for the quality.

We ordered takeaway and were very disappointed. 2 x Steamed Rice , Chana Masala , Bhuna , Garlic Naan , Butter Chicken , Cheese Naan , 2 x Pappadums (4 Pcs) The tide was out with most containers only 3/4 full and meat/ chicken hard to find in the gravy.Poppadoms were greasy and unpleasant, naan was dry and spices in the Chana masala were gritty. Not nice at all. A total waste of money and not somewhere we would return to or recommend.

Ordered from this place after reading good reviews, but we ordered vegetarian, malai kofta and paneer makhani to be specific, the currier were just average, malai kofta wasn't upto mark , a pale yellow color gravy with no flavour. The naans, both garlic and plain...were however good.

This Indian Restaurant is the best in Melbourne I've tried many but nothing beats Coriander Leaf. The cuisine is authentic and the taste is to die for. We've lost count to how many times we've been there we love it Thanks Kumar we love you...xx Rose and Paul
