Crawford and Son was in all means one of the best dining experiences I have had in all North Carolina. Specializing in a rotating classical-modern menu in the historic Oakwood neighborhood. Everything that comes out Crawford and Sons is a gastro chemical reaction of amazing. From the service, to the meal. Everything was beyond exceptional. We started with the Spicy Korhlrabi which is one of the namesakes of C&S, the Yuzu paired seamlessly with the ginger-esk taste of the Korhlrabi. My wife and I decided to share a romantic evening out and what a fabulous place to dine. The atmosphere is cozy while the decor is simple and modern. We started by sharing the Local Lettuce starter. The herbs were freshly grown (by them) and delicious. Our entrees included the Curry Roasted Carrots and Monk Fish. Both were fabulous while the presentations were expertly done (see photos). We also tried the charred broccolini and herb biscuits which melted in your mouth. We were so full we had to skip dessert but plan another trip back soon with friends. Stopped in for dinner mid week. Had a great solo experience sitting at the bar. The hanger steak was absolutely delicious along with the biscuits. One of the best dinner I’ve had in a long time. Can’t wait to go back again
