We try to eat at the Cafe de la Gare every time we visit the area and always enjoyed it. It opens early for coffee etc. but lunch is the main event. The little bar stays open in the afternoon, but I think in the evening. The menu changes every day, and for EUR 13.80 you get a starter, main course and pudding or cheese. Yesterday we had the choice of Camembert Toast with salad, sardine tart or dish of charcuterie to start. Mains were paupiette de veau Sauce Forriestiere, pork with lenses or steak. came for lunch with my husband. No tourist place. All locals. Had tuna appetizer with salad. Main plates beef and chicken. I don't eat either, but the waitress offered happy an omelette that was delicious. We both had an apricot and raspberry tea with cream. Homemade and delicious.
full menu at 12€, service with good mood and quality is in agreement with the price. we can find the entrance with remains of the day before, which is not at all shocking given the price claimed. In summary if you want to eat fast and cheap, it's the ideal.
