Just visited Deluxe Manna and if it wasn't for the food, I would have given it a 1 star. Upon arrival my table booking was confirmed and after being sat down it took about 20 minutes for someone to ask whether we had been served. I specifically asked what I could order as starters which would be quick to arrive as we were starving! I was told to order the battered prawns and puff puff which I agreed to. 10 minutes passed and the waitress returned to tell us that there was no puff puff and the kitchen would start it at 6pm.... a further 20 minutes passed and another waitress came to tell us that there were no prawns so by lack for availability, we ordered chicken wings which were undeniably d...
I dined at Deluxe on Monday, the 17th at around 7:00 PM with my sister, and unfortunately, my experience was not positive. The customer service left much to be desired. There were two waitresses, Leila and another with an afro ponytail, who seemed very unprofessional, constantly on the phone and playing with her hair. We were seated at table 6 next to the door, but I requested to be moved as it was cold. Despite being moved to table 8, the service was still not helpful and the waitress with the ponytail seemed annoyed. The reviews I 've seen of this place was a lie!!! Let me start with positives, plantin was great and the place looked nice inside. Smaller then what i saw online but thats OK. Sadly i was very disappointed with the customer service, it was like we was bothering them by asking simple questions like can I have cutlery. ? When it arrived it was dirty, how disgusting. Why did we have broken glasses with our drinks? So dangerous! Look at the pictures... We entered the restaurant and it was freezing cold. And no warm water in the toilets. I was recommended this restaurant by a friend and I have to say, the food was delicious. The atmosphere was fantastic and I enjoyed every dish on my plate. I had never tried food from the Democratic Republic of Congo before, so I was excited to taste something new. However, the food reminded me of dishes from my own culture. The fried rice, jollof rice, fried plantain, ribs, and more were all fantastic. The restaurant became busier in the evening, with a waiting queue for tables when I left. The cocktail was great and the staff were friendly. The only downside was that the space was a bit small. Luckily, there is free parking available outside after 6:30pm. The food at this restaurant is fantastic. While it is a bit expensive, the portion sizes make it worth it. The restaurant has a nice appearance and the customer service is decent. I couldn't finish my meal, so I had to take the rest home in a takeaway container. When I asked for assistance, the staff member said they were unable to help, possibly due to Covid regulations. Despite this, I am giving the restaurant 4 stars. I also wanted to order cocktails, but was informed that they were not available that day. Overall, the food and atmosphere are great.
I found this place absolutely spontaneously. I love African food and wanted to explore this place. I really loved the interior, very sophisticated and cozy. The food was absolutely delicious and cheaper than I expected. Waitresses were nice but I could see they are bored as there were not many customers at that moment. I loved the music. Toilet was very clean. I definitely will come back there soon!
This was my third visit yesterday. I took my mum and brother. I was happy with the waitress service. The manna platter , jack mackerel fish (Thomson) and mikate were both delicious. Tropical deluxe mocktail was so good. I will be coming here again and to support our Congolese restaurant.
Friendly staffs, the food was nice salad, grilled fish tilapia stuffed with mushrooms), the cocktails were too. We didn't have to wait for too long before the food being served. There service was great! Food came nice and hot. My favourites were puff puffs ,ntaba and fried rice … cocktail aren’t that great.
