In this place you can find plenty options of drinks. Most of them are made of coffee; but, if you do not like coffee, they offer tea or other beverages. There are also some desserts and cakes; The Red velvet is very tasty. Prices are quite good, too. Sometimes music is not too loud; thus, this place might be perfect for a short talk or recess. At times it is very crowded especially on Wednesdays when they host an Engish club which is an excellent opportunity to practice the language and to get contact with speakers of English in case you are a tourist in town or a lover of languages. However, it is usually difficult to find a place to park. Also, they only accept cash. There are ATMs nearby.
Nice place to take a delicious and elaborate coffee with types of methods you can imagine. Hot coffee, cold coffee, glacier coffee, coffee making, cheesecake, carrot cake, coffee cake and other exquisite things. About this place you can have a good coffee with a good cake or other option while you relax or read a good book. A good place if you want to come with your friends and chat with a good cold or hot drink. It has a beautiful environment where you feel comfortable in all hours because of the good ventilation of the air.
Our guide recommended this cafe which was conveniently only a couple blocks from our hostel, and we made a point of going there before we left Pereira. The baristas were super friendly and explained the menu, coffee options and brewing methods and answered all of our questions. We had an iced coffee and two different pour-overs which were all delicious, as well as a slice of carrot cake, and we bought some of the honey whiskey beans to take home. The cafe is also beautifully designed and a very pleasant place to relax.
I stayed in Pereira for a few weeks and went to El Barista at least 6 times. My coffee was always perfect. I tried the cold brew once -- it came served in a large wine glass, very cool. It opens at 2pm and is a quiet spot in the afternoon to read or work on your computer and drink coffee. Or just lazily gaze out at the nice view. I go there every day for my almond salads and I love everything. the children working there are helpful and really ecologically gentle, the place is clean and always with good energy, the best coffee in the city where they professionally add to the already good product. Is a perfect place to have a coffin and work, read, chat or just relax! on this day they have a book for sale and is interesting book, I read there between one and another late.
We went here for a morning coffee and sat outside on the terrace tables on the front walkway. It was a quiet side street right at the main train, so it was quite peaceful. The coffees (Capuccino and Latte) came out in about 5-10 minutes, so the service was not terrible fast. The coffee was just okay because he tasted a little weak, but otherwise it was good.
Best experience! My friend and I are visiting from the USA. We did the Barista class with Sebastian and Yesid. Favorite thing we did in Colombia in our 3 weeks of travel. It was hard for me to find a good cup of coffee in Pereira. Although El Barista is not the finest coffee, it had a nice ambience and I enjoyed my time reading and journaling there. They also serve alcohol.
