06/26/2021 When I arrive in California, my brother and I go to one of our favorite eating spots El Pollo Unico. I believe they opened in 1985… they’re still standing and so am I, lol. Originally located next to 7 Eleven on Orange Grove Blvd and Lake Ave. Although we haven't been to the restaurant in over 15 years. The food still tastes fabulous. The best part about our blast into the past, the owner and some staff still remembered us (from over 30+ years of eating their food, lol… almost brings a tear in my eye, wait that was the LA smog). Pollo Unico is hands down my favorite Chicken spot in all of LA! The chicken is amazing every time and we come here a lot! It’s always juicy and has the best flavor. I don’t know what they season it with but it’s too good. Their hot salsa is incredible too, very flavorful! If you’re in the mood for good chicken, Pollo Unico is your spot!

Omg....yall this food is good! If you don't feel like cooking please go get some dinner here. Their new family meal is worth it! 2 large sides, your choice of tortillas, family size side salad, churros, and the juiciest chicken you'll ever eat! I'm from Texas and I like me some juicy chicken and brisket and this was so close!

Much better than El Pollo Loco in my opinion. What ever they put on their chicken I'd to die for. I get the spicy salsa too. The regular salsa you can pass on...not as flavored as the spicy. Good food here.

Best place for grilled chicken if your in the la area passadena fish and hit always on point reminds me of Juan Pollo been coming to the this spot for years whenever I leave work
