To my shock, the security personnel yelled at us in a harsh and humiliating manner, accusing me of lying when I said I didn’t know about the dog policy and that I hadn’t seen any signs. They continued to shout at all of us as we attempted to leave, displaying aggressive and threatening behavior. The whole experience was frightening and abusive, and I can’t believe how hostile they were. It felt as though they were trying to escalate the situation rather than resolve it peacefully. Thankfully, no one responded to their aggression, but it could have easily turned dangerous. It was also a deeply classist experience for me. Wow, this farmer's Market is the best in the entire Chicagoland area. There are so many organic and vegan vendors here it is so wonderful (between 40-60 total vendors per week). It reminded me of San Francisco area Farmer's Markets. But there isn't only veggies here, although you won't be disappointed in that area, many local organic veg growers are present. There is organic vegan breads, vegan tamale and taco stand, vegan breakfast stands, vegan juice bar, handmade organic tofu vendors, vegan truffle shop, vegan baked pastry goods, WOW! This is a wonderful and vibrant farmers' market with a plethora of local vendors. There are a few vegan snack options available while you shop, although the selection of ready-to-eat vegan dishes is somewhat limited. Parking is free; just be sure to validate your parking space at the City of Evanston booth.

I love coming here during the summer! It can get quite crowded later on, but the atmosphere is enjoyable. There’s usually some live music, which adds to the experience. It’s also a great spot for kids.
An eclectic variety of fresh local produce, baking, crafted food, and more. Vendors are friendly and prices range but are consistent between vendors. Loved the smell your at LFK travel for the senses.
