I called yesterday and spoke with Alyssa (sorry if I've misspelled her name), and she was incredibly helpful, kind, and friendly. Just minutes before I reached out to this bakery, I had a terrible experience with a manager at a different bakery who bullied me, saying that the custom wedding cake I ordered with purple frosting and pink and blue flowers wouldn’t look good and that they wouldn’t make it for me. I was in tears! Thankfully, an amazing family member recommended Hillcrest Bakery, and Alyssa took my order and helped me get everything just right. We are delighted to have a wonderful charitable bakery like Hillcrest. Their cakes have become a cherished part of our birthday traditions, and we enjoy stopping by for treats when visiting Bothell Landing. I particularly love the Marzipan cakes and the Dutch anis brot. Ordering over the phone is convenient and straightforward, and their turnaround time is impressively quick. I placed an order for an 8-inch round cake on Friday and picked it up on Saturday.
I've been coming to this bakery since I was a child. Every year, my family treats ourselves to an amazing selection of goodies for Christmas, and I have yet to find a bakery that matches the quality here. Their donuts are out of this world, and the sausage pastries are simply incredible. I would honestly give this place a rating of 10 out of 5. We got a lemon meringue pie from hillcrest which has been our first experience eating from hillcrest bakery and they did not disappoint! 2 of us ate the entire pie in 2 days and it only lasted to the second day because we were too sad to have it be gonein 1 day. Based on this experience i can only imagine that everything they make is good!
