While you can never with 100% certainty trace the source of a food poisoning, five of us had dinner at La Cordee and had violent intestinal reactions post meal. The five of us did not eat together before nor afterward. We had no other eating in common. We are quite confident that the poisoning was from La Cordee. We suspect it came from a bad truffle shaved onto our shared truffle pasta. It could also be that the poisoning was from poor sanitary conditions of a La Cordee worker. I am shocked to read a visitor write about the food being weird. His knowledge of food is weird. This restaurant deserves 1 Michelin stars. Marco is an extremely talented chef who goes to great length to ensure that all his ingredients are fresh. His combination of tastes is wonderful. I eat here regularly and I have never been let down. Two more than 400 tours for aperitive, privilege, main dish and coffee. No amuses at aperitif, no gourmandises at the coffee. Foreignment was homemade pasta with truffle, but for 45 minutes, it was a little overpriced. Head dishes were good, but not great. All the wines were expensive, but that's up to us to decide. Zum dritten Mal in diesem Restaurant und wie immer waren wir von den köstlichen und sehr originellen Gerichten begeistert. Sicherlich die inspirierteste Küche in Verbier. Das Ambiente macht definitiv auch den Unterschied, mit einem warmen und dennoch modernen Speisesaal und einem sehr aufmerksamen Service, obwohl wir einen recht intensiven Abend hatten. Wir fragten den Weinkellner um Rat bezüglich der passenden Speisen und Weine, seine Auswahl war unerwartet und einfach unglaublich. Ich warte schon darauf, im Sommer wiederzukommen!
we came few days ago and the meal was so delicious.Unfortunatly our waitress, which is tall brown hair young woman named marion, was not really friendly. she doesn't able to talk about the menu and no smile during all the meal. Another the chef was so unpleasant with his boy. except them, the restaurant is warm atmosphere even if the ground is full of dirty mark. the worst service I never had.
We celebrated with some friends the end of our stay in Verbier. The night was very busy and service was sometimes slightly stretched. But apart for that the evening was an immense pleasure: truffle dishes; good meat; great pastas; innovative flavours. Wines on offer vary from mid priced to expensive but when looking in details one can find gems at reasonable levels. Good luck on your hunt :-)
This is the fourth time we eat at the mountain this winter, it is clearly the best verb table. the menu changes regularly, the dishes are original, the service is top. very beautiful wine map. special mention to fabien the hotel master who always receives us with great kindness and professionalism. to recommend without hesitation! Eaten here three times, and twice was disappointed. Good chef who has lost the plot with his latest inspirations. Service is hit and miss. Upon complaining we were told that we should have opted for the special. I WILL NOT BE RETURNING.
