This restaurant is a little off the ‘beaten track’ which works in its favour. So many restaurants in the tourist areas of La Rochelle serve mediocre food that I was beginning to despair of finding somewhere I felt I could recommend. The interior has a sort of industrial chic style about it. Tables are well spaced apart and the chairs very comfortable. The serving staff were all very friendly and attentive. Everything we ate from Le Formule menu (23€ was very good. There appears to be no wine list, there is a cave (wine shop as part of the premises and you simply say which wine you would like e.g. Pinot noir and a bottle appears. An excellent moment, a warm, smiling and pleasant welcome, with a young dynamic and attentive team. Delicious dishes, quantity and quality are present. A pretty wine cellar for the "bitters" of good wine! Price not excessive at all. A frame with an extra outdoor terrace. I recommend.
