We visited Le Refuge upon reading about it on TripAdvisor. Place was packed with hikers and locals: so good atmosphere. The dishes were mainly meat and local food, with a few vegetarian options. No kids menu. Our noodles were so overcooked that they could have...made a pudding from it and the tomato sauce was basically straight out of a tin. The service was one poor women for about customers so it took a while until everyone got their meals. All of this for quite high prices (pot of noodles with veal Euro simple salad for Euro etc Should you be in the vicinity, its ok to go but don’t drive for minutes from Porto Vecchio for a „dining experience“.
on the good tips read on trip we discovered this restaurant in the heights of porto vecchio in a small village after crossing a forest! beautiful setting, beautiful view! the dishes a feast with fresh products (have eat the milk pig, a calf jump and the brocciu eggplant) everything was excellent! warm welcome and clear tips and explanations! We went to a Corsican Guitars and Songs party! a pure happiness! We'll be back. You can already book a table!
After a sporting effort all morning, you had to get back on foot. we went to the shelter and really I confirm all the good we say in the comments. A friendly welcome, a service with a smile and quick, a pleasant setting. and a delicious meal. We stayed in the traditional range and it was a treat for taste buds. excellent and hearty, from entry to dessert. I highly recommend and hope to return very quickly!
From Porto Vecchio it's about drive up into the mountains with some beautiful scenery along the way. When we arrived we were greeted by the friendly staff and they explained the menu to us. I opted for the entrocote and my wife the aubergine...dish. Both were were tasty, the steak was phenomenal! Would definitely recommend this restaurant Reserviere jetzt einen Tisch
simple local well kept country, excellent traditional cuisine: delicious eggplants, lamb with exceptional myrtle sauce and finally the famous porceddu. Really great! the staff, a beautiful large family, very nice and helpful. absolutely recommended!
Based on a mountain trail road from Porto-Vecchio to Propriano this place is still (I went there years ago) the good stay for the night or more. Food is very good, and during summer you can have a Corsican musical evening.
Poor meat, lamb chops overcooked with no taste, pig okay but nothing special, pasta disappointing. Potatoes not good and vegetables no taste. Looks like a turist trap with high prices and low quality of food.
