Undoubtedly one of the best bakeries in the city. From the moment you walk in, it just feels "right", not pretentious or overly designed, but a welcoming and charming bakery that feels as if its been here for a very long time. The space is small but cozy, and uses the perfect shade of blue throughout. Wonderful service with attentive staff who take care in what they are doing.The atmosphere, prices and people make this bakery a very comfortable spot.There are various types of breads, croissants, tarts and other pastry items on hand - the best variety is available if you come in early. I love visiting mid morning during the week when there is always a free table to enjoy the aromas, a coffee, pastry, and read the paper.All of the pastries I have tried have been excellent. Croissants - buttery and flaky Apple "turnover" - fresh, crispy, filled to perfection My favourite, the cinnamon tourbillon - a perfect amount of cinnamon and sweetness.The Americano coffee is one of the best in the city - strong, flavourful and not bitter.Friendly, efficient counter staff.Very good wi-fi service.
This place was only a block away from the loft my family rented for our Nova Scotia vacation, and it became our "go to" place for coffee every morning. The coffee was excellent, but the croissants and other bakery treats were amazing. All were freshly prepared and warm out of the oven delicious. The staff was very friendly as well. I will miss this place!
This was just across from our Theatre Lofts AirBnB, and my husnamd ventured out one morning to find breakfast. He brought back the best croissants and chocolatini we've had (and we've had some good ones!). This is a busy little spot. Unfortunately one morning they were understaffed so there was a long wait...but a worthwhile wait.
