History, from early man (in europe) to medieval times with regional/local archeological samples and explanations of provenance that is well ordered and relevant for Auvergne and Clermont-ferrand. A real gem, set in a beautiful building. Not a "large ' collection like many big museums, but very informative. We spent a few hours here pouring over the details of each exhibit and were enthralled. It was just what we were looking for and helped us appreciate Clermont-ferrand even more.
I and my friends (who are international students) had a blast! Such a nice place to visit with lots of amazing artworks and the perfect ambience. The receptionist was very lovely and he spoke English to us when we were struggling with French! Plus it’s free for students!
