The prices are very reasonable and the atmosphere is comfortable, making it a great place to enjoy a meal. The buffet offers a wide selection of dishes including calamari, pasta, pizza, soup, vegetable bakes, and a salad bar. For just $17.50, you can enjoy drinks and dessert as well. The service is friendly and efficient, and the decor is cozy with ample seating and nice lighting. Mussels is a great place to relax and enjoy a meal in a peaceful setting....
Great food. We lobbed into Mussels on our return trip from Stanthorpe to Toowoomba and are very glad we did so. Not only was the meal generous in size, affordable and delicious, the wait staff was efficient. Took a looooong time to pay the bill though. We weren't particularly in a hurry, so didn't bother us greatly. The quiche was beautiful and I was able to choose my own salads and dressings from their salad bar. My husband chose the small fettucini carbonara and loved it it was huge. We will make a point to stop their enroute every time from now on.
We visited Bluebird on a Thursday morning, it wasn't too busy at the time and ordered the BBQ plate for 2, Pork Loin Tacos and Wings. The BBQ plate was delicious, the Brisket and pulled pork were moist and had perfect flavour. The Tacos had cruncy crackling and were delicious. The only disappointment were the wings, as they were really small but still had good flavour. Just be mindful to call in to check the food status as they are quick to run out of meat and expect heaps of flies due to the smoke/food.
I discovered this café/restaurant to be a hidden gem during my visit to Warwick. The service was excellent, the staff were friendly and welcoming, and the menu offered a wide variety of options, including delicious pastries. The décor featured a mix of booths and tables, enhanced by local artwork on the walls. The food and coffee were both fantastic, and I look forward to trying out their dinner menu on my next visit, instead of just stopping in for afternoon tea.
