Pearlz Oyster - Tisch reservieren

We come to this establishment every trip to Charleston, about 8 times per year. This last visit was a major disappointment. We ordered the Blue Point oysters on the half-shell. The server brought out tiny shrunken salty oysters. They were not BPs. When I pointed that out she replied, I will have to talk to my shuckers. No offer to return them for the real thing. My wife 's salad lettuce was wilted, sour, and brown. This is not at all characteristic of Pearlz. It seems that they are on the decline like so many other formally great places.

One of the worst dinners we've had for over $150.00 per couple. Food was overly salty, fried food had no taste and overly fried, Bowl of mussels were partly fresh and partly frozen. Downtown Charleston has so much more to offer. Stay away!

We made reservations a couple of weeks before hand and even received confirmation on the day of reservation. When we got there the restaurant was closed for renovations. Nobody thought to contact us.

The food tucked. The calamari was hard and unable to eat it
