I would give this place zero stars if I could. First off, they charged me an extra $2 just to slice six bagels, which is outrageous. I showed my Foodie Card on my phone and handed it to the cashier, but she not only neglected to apply my 10% discount, she also decided to pick a different card from my Apple Wallet without my consent. To top it all off, the bagels were nothing special—mediocre at best.
I ordered from this restaurant once before and was disappointed, but I decided to give it another chance. Unfortunately, it was just as unsatisfactory this time. The iced coffee was tasteless, and my bagel wasn't toasted at all. It's frustrating to spend $18 on food that isn't worth eating. The service at the store was also terrible.
I was in the neighborhood and decided to check out Rego Bagels because of the fantastic reviews it received. I'm really glad I did! I ordered the everything bagel with plain cream cheese, and it was absolutely delicious. It was fresh, and the texture was perfect. I can definitely recommend this bagel shop!
I am so sad because I actually like this place… have been coming here for about two years I have been getting their bagels/smoothies and small pastries but the bagel they gave me today had green mold…. I just had the best bagel in all of NYC and Jersey. Everything is fresh, homemade cream cheese, good selection of flavors, staff was super friendly. Mark, was very helpful and welcomed us with a smile. There was surprisingly no line on a Saturday morning.
