Blink and you would simply drive past Rhubarb without even noticing it unless you were on a mission to visit the Good Grocer, Reids Meats, Lulu Lemon or two other shops off Ardross Street in Applecross. Rhubarb is more than a coffee shop. It is a meeting place. For adults, kids, locals, dogs. Service is unquestionably its forté; its selling point. Invariably I duck in here after collecting my post for a sneaky take-away cappuccino, when in reality, I'm just going there for a chat too. Staff are amazing. Rhubarb Is joint where I come every morning , I order a ice Latte with 1 sugar.The reason I come her is because the way coffe is made and presented. The quality of carness is in every cup they make . Every time I sip on my coffe if feel like it has been specifically made for me. Mike(owner) is the most humble person I have meet , he puts 110% effort into his business and in his barista skills. Rhubarb is a great place to start the morning.
Located just outside of the fantastic Good Grocer, this quirky little café seemed to just 'appear' one day. Although I don't stop here often it's always got someone there. Layout of seating and high benches means that all ages are welcome. Love that there are often kids with dogs here too. Café always staffed by witty and happy people - and service is excellent. Coffee is outstanding although I normally have a home made juice!
We often stop past Rhubarb for our Single Origin flat whites. My daughter enjoys the juices that are always freshly made. It's such a popular place right next to Good Grocer and is always busy. Also as its open Saturday and Sunday which is nice.
