After dining at Sol Azteca Mexican Restaurant in Mesa with a large group of friends and family, I had the chance to sample items from their menu. Overall, the experience was enjoyable but not outstanding. Most dishes were tasty and well-prepared. Some of the items we tried included Chile Rellenos, Enchiladas Plate, Tampiqueña Grilled steak, and the Molcajetito. While some dishes stood out, overall the meal lacked distinguishing characteristics. In comparison to other Mexican restaurants in the area, Sol Azteca fell short in terms of uniqueness and flavor. Buen provecho!
The food was good. We have green chili plate and enchiladas both were good. Will go again I want to try the chimi next time it looked really good. Been here about 15 times since our first review and the food is consistently good. Everything we have tried has been fantastic. This is our go to place now if we can't decide what we want we go to Sol Azteca because we know it will be good. I wish I could remember to take a picture when. The food comes out but we start eating immediately and it's usually when we're done I remember so forgive the half eaten delicious food.
Our favorite Mexican restaurant! We come here all the time. Their service is always great and the food is always delicious. My only wish for this restaurant is that they had a changing table. That would make it easier to come here with our baby. But, the food is great! My husband says the Azteca burrito is the best burrito he’s ever had.
I ordered the green chili burrito and it was absolutely delicious. My granddaughter enjoyed the horchatta and we had a great meal overall. The service was quick and friendly. Overall, I would rate the food 5 out of 5.
