Yesterday I celebrated the life of my father with my family at The Bull in Highgate. The team here has been absolutely brilliant! Everyone has been so kind, attentive and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble for them. The room looked lovely, was perfectly clean and prepared for us; the food was so nicely presented and scrumptious; I was given every assistance with showing photos on the TV screen and playing music. Today, I had the worst Sunday roast meal at a pub/restaurant that I can remember. I am not likely to return. The portions were just enough, and we were asked if we wanted to add a side dish, which was not surprising in hindsight. The kale was tough to cut, and the potato was cold. After bringing this to the waiter's attention, my plate was returned with the potatoes properly heated. However, the rest of the meal was barely warm, indicating it had been made in advance. The beef slices were gristly, and it seemed they had been carved cold and reheated. The carrots and gravy were tasty, the red cabbage and Yorkshire pudding were fine. We had a small gathering at The Bull to celebrate my mum's life. It is not the easiest thing to do, having a funeral in between Christmas and New Year. But the staff and atmosphere of this place really stood out. The room was perfect, there is space to sit and eat but also to mingle. You can play your own playlist and have photos on a slideshow on the TV. The food was perfect, the staff incredibly helpful but also respectful of the occasion and not intrusive in any way. We did not want for anything, didn't have to wait for anything. I would warmly recommend it to anybody for a function.
My wife, baby, and I had an amazing experience for Mother's Day at this restaurant. The roasts we ordered were cooked perfectly, the portions were generous, and they were served promptly. Despite the busy Mother's Day crowd, the staff were friendly and attentive. It has been years since we have had a roast this good, and the chocolate brownie dessert was heavenly! Wow ! What more can I do to elevate this pub (which is essentially a restaurant! . From the moment I walked in I instantly felt a warm sense of community and happiness. Abdi was our severer for the evening and honestly made us feel like the most important family in the world! We had the Christmas dinner which was beyond delicious. 10/10 would recommend the restaurant to anyone I know.
This pub is one of my favorite places where I meet family members for dinner and drinks. Whether in summer or winter it has a lovely atmosphere and very friendly staff. The food is excellent and reasonably priced. The service is very good and particularly Gosha is very professional and very friendly and attentive. We always have a great time here. Well done everyone.
Very helpful staff, thank you. My friend was a little disappointed with his dish , mentioned as much to the waiter and without a word or a quibble the item was removed from the bill. Fair play for such a trouble free resolution. The beer is very well kept, thanks to an excellent cellar man.
The restaurant's menu used to be great and the food was delicious, but I was very disappointed on my recent visit. I probably wouldn't go back again. It seems like they may have changed their kitchen staff. Reserviere jetzt einen Tisch
We didn’t eat but popped in for a quick drink, very welcoming staff and great back garden. The dark haired waitress was very nice and took good care of us, we will be back to try the food next time. Cheers
