The Spotted Cow - Tisch reservieren

This restaurant has really declined in quality. I ordered a Cheese and Ham Sandwich from a friendly staff member, but received a tomato and onion sandwich instead. I explained to the bartender that I couldn't eat tomato or onion, and the chef shouted at him for the mistake. The replacement sandwich also had tomato in it, despite my dietary restrictions. The food overall was not good, and my friend had a similar experience with their sandwich. The staff behind the bar were friendly and offered a refund, but I won't be returning as long as that chef is there. The atmosphere was disappointing and the food was subpar. It's a shame, as it used to be a nice place to dine.

Went for Sunday roast. Would recommend making a reservation as it gets busy. Our table had 2 reservations after ours. The staff were friendly and efficient and made for a good experience. We had the roast sirloin and the roast pork. The sirloin comes with yorkshire pudding but it's extra for the pork. For dessert we had the apple and rhubarb crumble I asked for ice cream but got it with cream no worried. Also had the strawberries and cream. The is a garden at the back but it was raining so I don't know what that would be like. A+ for the staff, B+ for the food (sides costing extra).

First off the staff are super friendly and welcoming always a good sign. The beers were all good and a good selection. Food was OK...Venison Pasta great, ditto the mussels The fish (plaice) and chips were so so...I am not sure breading and deep frying plaice is a great idea unlike cod or haddock. Chips were fantastic This is a minor quibble as a great local pud...Recommended!
