Mixed feelings but overall good. This was a random choice for my wife's birthday, a special occasion so I expected the prices of the food. We started at the bar where I found the service to be lacking. They had at least two bartenders and another person running checks and couldn't seem to keep up. It was a Friday night, but I didn't think it was extraordinarily busy for a bar on a Friday. Nothing that two amateur bartenders couldn't handle. I probably waited 15-20 minutes to be even acknowledged and then another 5 for my drinks, one of which was whiskey on the rocks, not a hard drink to make. What a great meal!!!. What a wonderful dining experience. We started with apps; warm goat cheese w/ beet and spinach salad for my husband and I had the foie gras. I am not a fan of beets but the goat cheese was delicious. The foie gras was served with sauteed strawberries and smoked pistachios atop a thin waffle cake. It tasted delicious but it was WAY tiny and for the price just not worth it. We also ordered the fries cooked in duck fat because....well because they are FRIES COOKED IN DUCK FAT!!!! When our server came over to check on us I jokingly said the only thing that would make the fries better is some fancy gravy and 10 seconds later he appeared with some delicious gravy...now I...re...

this place is amazing! my man and I went during the restaurant week to celebrate our 20-year anniversary. our table had been beautifully decorated for the occasion. I ordered the Caesar salad with a popover, filet mignon and dark chocolate mousse. the salat was very tasty and the popover was beautiful and crispy on the outside with a soft inner. my filet mignon was perfectly cooked in medium and melted in my mouth like butter. so delicious and delicate. it came with a polnta cake and sautéed spinat that both were made perfect. my man and I also ordered to share a side of duck fryers that were cooked and spiced to perfection. the dark chocolate mousse...read more

had eaten several times in the bistro of tj, with nothing but great things about eating and telling the service. Unfortunately, my recent visit has soelled what was an excellent call. my wife and I both decided to go with the recommendation of the chef, a lamb osso bucco entre. twice they tried to serve us the psychic before the waitress came and said she thought we had said the psychic. for me, “Sea Bass” sounds nothing like “Köche Recommendation”. After we have been delivered the right entree (which was good and plentiful), we decided not to have a flour chocolate cake/pie. I love this place. The food is great and the atmosphere is nice. The other reviews have one thing right it isn't cheap, but this is a nice bistro not fast food. You get what you pay for.
