Fish, chips and curry sauce on a tray with blue fork for a little over £6...... BARGAIN!! The meal had no fault, chips were cooked well, the fish had a thin, crisp batter and the curry sauce was your usual chip shop curry sauce. I enjoyed the meal and will call again if by chance (like today) I'm passing. The lasses serving were polite and had the good old Yorkshire banter. Little gem of a chippy, well worth a visit.
After reading all the positive reviews on TripAdvisor, I decided to give this restaurant a try. Unfortunately, I was extremely disappointed with my experience. The fish was completely overcooked and looked like it had been reheated leftovers from dinnertime. The chips were not much better. I definitely will not be returning to this restaurant.
I have visited this restaurant multiple times for my work lunch, since I work nearby. It is always excellent, and I usually go on Friday afternoons. The prices are reasonable as well. I would recommend this place to anyone.
Have used this chippy for last 19 years and can’t believe there aren’t more reviews.......maybe we want it to remain a secret special takeaway....wouldn’t want it spoiled!
