Laid-back traditional Austrian-styled restaurant with a surprising fine dine twist on the menu. Attentive and friendly staff, owners are in the service as well as in the kitchen. Chef is the young owner himself who is into top-notch kitchen trends - like dry aging meat. I tried the dry aged steak and it was just fantastic - tender and super tasty. The menu says that all products come from organic production or regional producers and from their own farm! That just makes sense when you taste the dishes. Will for sure come back!
Wir waren zum Abendessen auf dem Berg in Altenmarkt, was etwa 40 Minuten dauerte, tatsächlich zu Fuß. Das Essen war regional und gut, das Ambiente im hochalpinen Stil. Der Service war freundlich und effizient. Das Beste war die Rodelbahn zurück in die Stadt. Pro Schlitten werden 4 Euro berechnet. Der Rodelweg ist beleuchtet und sicher, um auch nachts mit Kindern Spaß zu haben. Man wird nass!
Location of the restaurant (and the hotel) is beautiful. Interior of the restaurant is very nicely decorated - combination of traditional austrian and modern. The dinner we had was very nice (I had a great steak, and my partner something vegetarian - cannot remeber what it was, but it was good ;-). And the service was great, very attentive.
Überraschend gutes Restaurant versteckt auf einem Berg in Flachau. Geeignet für Fleischliebhaber und Vegetarier. Gerichte, die wir probiert und genossen haben: Haus Burger (ausgezeichnet!), Schleierschnitzel und Nuggets (Kindergerichte), Spinatknödel, Tomaten-Ingwersuppe, Frühlingsrollen, Avocadosalat mit Sonnengetrockneten Tomaten. We come to had dinner, the environment was not friendly, no English menu or speakers. The food was fair but not something to remember. We asked for the best dish of the place, pancakes, and it was served barnes. Overall does not deserve the special drive.
We have been hier three times and just can't get bord with the food. If You are with children must try their Kaiserschmarn. That is just amaizing! Not forgetting the possibility of sliding down from them on a sledge untill the bottom. Fan!!!!
Stayed for a week. Rooms are basic yet cozy and very clean. They've just completed a new wing which is worth reviewing. As far as the restaurant- good hearty breakfast. Nice choice of dinner dishes, freshly cooked.
