"in the beautiful port of l’Ametlla de mar is the restaurant cafè xavier. This house full of tradition that was given to him for a hundred years, was founded by a vicentual garcia fornoos in 1904. at first as a casino and after 1910 as a coffee. until with the arrival of the first tourists in the 1950s, the second generation led by the founder's son, vicent and his wife carme, laid the foundations of the cafè xavier restaurant, already totally dedicated to the restoration with the entrance of xavier and roser, third generation. today with the entry of the fourth generation, macià and joan, the future of the establishment is fully consolidated. "We searched for a place to eat, it was almost all closed and by chance we found this restaurant bar with a simple menu of 10 €. since there was no one sitting in the bar, but he also has a dining room. We order a few beers and put some nuts, of the first dishes we order: mussels, cake and lasagna (all right,) second longantiza and fresh gold, the longaniza was good, but the golden ones were very good; and from dessert apple pie, it was a different apple cake than we had tasted, hot served! The best we've eaten! and before the first dish they put a salad in each one. we always go with a doggie and to get a place in a conveyor, as it is used to say nothing, when the owner realized that we could get it out, what we said was good so because it was a bit pervert, for which we have animals, these details touch a very simple place and a place."
