I moved here 4 years ago, was returning the U-Haul and was famished. I looked around, saw this cafe, and thought they have interesting artwork on the building, I wonder if the food is good. I now come every weekend. The food quality has been consistent, which I greatly appreciate. The menu varies occasionally based on season and mood, but variety is a good thing! The servers and staff are wonderful, and I love knowing them. If you want a down to earth omlette, or just a dang good burger with fries, come here! Expertly cooked food that is full of flavor, and friendly people make this a local 's go-to diner.
I visited this restaurant for the first time on 7/8/22 and I definitely plan on returning when I'm in the area again. I ordered the short stack with a side of bacon and an iced tea. The pancakes were thick and fluffy, and the bacon was cooked perfectly. The restaurant wasn't too crowded, and it appeared that all the customers were happy with their meals. The prices were reasonable, similar to other local restaurants. There were plenty of cool photos on the walls to look at. The staff was friendly and efficient. I recommend giving this place a try if you're in Oceanside.
The Banana Caramel French Toast at this restaurant is incredible for breakfast, especially with the optional berries! You'll likely end up taking at least half of it home because the portion size is so generous. My husband thoroughly enjoyed his 'Pile Up' breakfast, which includes three different types of meat. The charming historic atmosphere adds to the overall experience, making the old building feel cozy and welcoming. Whether you're a tourist or a local, you should definitely pay a visit to this place!

Small quite cafe. Good flavor. Little pricey for the size of portions. Inside is clean just don't look at the ceiling fans.
