The food at this restaurant was decent, but the wait time of 1 hour and 50 minutes before receiving our food was unacceptable. While we waited, everyone who arrived after us ordered, ate, and left. The wait was not worth the quality of the food. Additionally, the restaurant only accepts cash, which was inconvenient as we had to go to an ATM before returning. When we informed our server that our food had not arrived yet, he said it was being cooked and it took another 10 minutes for our order to be served. I recently discovered this farm-to-table restaurant in my new town. Most restaurants in the area have very few vegan options, but this establishment offers a vegan dish for every course and changes their menu regularly. The meal I had here was the best I've had in a long time! The zucchini stuffed with eggplant and cashew puree for the starter was fantastic. The farm salad and cavatelli with fresh vegetables were delicious, and the coconut panna cotta was a surprising and inventive dessert. I'm not entirely sure what fruit was in the crumble for dessert, but it was really delicious. I was excited to finally try out 12 Farms. I visited on a Saturday night at 6:00PM. The wait staff was friendly and the atmosphere was cozy. Unfortunately, they were out of the filet so I opted for their seafood pasta special. We also ordered the Mezz Plate starter, which was delicious, especially the tomato chutney. However, our entrees were a letdown. Both dishes arrived lukewarm and the seafood pasta lacked seasoning, it was bland. My boyfriend's Ragu was just slightly warm as well. I had high hopes for 12 Farms, but the disappointing entrees, especially considering the prices, left me feeling let down. I may consider returning in the future for another try.
The staff is meticulous and work hard to make every dish sensational and unique. The effort and creativity is definitely noticeable. I enjoyed the food (shakshuka eggs Benedict over zucchini latke), even though the salad had some really large sea salt pebbles for some reason. I wasn’t impressed by the scone but it was worth trying. The Apple pie was served cold but my friend loved it just like that. I personally wish they gave an option for cold or warm.
