This is a lovely restaurant with fantastic staff who are incredibly friendly and welcoming. Claudia was especially helpful during our visit. My partner and I had dinner here, enjoying both steak and lamb, which were delicious. However, my only issue was that the portion sizes seemed quite small, almost like they were meant for children. For a steak meal, I expected a little more in terms of chips or a decent side dish. It feels a bit odd to have to order sides separately. As you can see from the pictures, the portions are quite tiny. Overall, it's a great place, but I would recommend increasing the portion sizes on the dinner menu to ensure customers get their money's worth.
I had a lovely afternoon during the bank holiday weekend celebrating my friend's birthday. Our waiter, Alin, was extremely friendly and helpful. The food was delicious, and the tea we ordered—the 144 house mix breakfast tea—was fantastic. The entire staff was very welcoming to our baby, which helped keep him in a good mood, allowing us to enjoy our tea. The restaurant itself is beautiful, and it wasn’t crowded, which made our experience even better. We were also comfortable bringing the sliding chair to our table, which was a nice bonus.
beautiful Sunday dinner with my fiance. we had a room and a la carte dinner option. all good quality and good choice in wine with our dinner. no calls in the bank manager required during the stay. the personal could no longer be accommodated in the entire environment. also really beautiful panoramic views over the themses are just 100 meters away to the foot and the city is a mile meandering down the hill.
My wife and I, had lovely dinner here on Saturday. The meal was exquisite, steak was tender, melts in your mouth, absolute marvel. We had a great service from host to waiting staff Alin, who was pleasantly courteous and explained the menu and made recommendations. Overall experience was great, we will certainly dine in again.

We had an absolutely amazing afternoon tea at 144 on the Hill for my birthday. My kids and parents all loved it, the service was amazing and the food was exceptional. We really couldn't have been more delighted with the whole thing. Thank you to all the staff who made it such a special afternoon for us.
I took a friend for the afternoon tea and we were not disappointed! I let them know that it was a birthday celebration and they prepared a cute little cake for the occasion. Our waiter, Roberto, was friendly and attentive. The sandwiches were lovely and desserts were excellent.
