To be candid, the only reason we dined here is because they answered the phone when we called; I 'm glad that the other restaurants didn 't answer because I would never have found the amazingly talented Amelia who made me the best dirty Martini since Australia 2004. The service is impeccable and the staff are friendly and efficient. The.menu is varied but perhaps lacking in venison; we are after all in King Henry VIII domain. The wine list is extensive if not somewhat pricy for a bottle, however wine is my second favourite tipple to rum and one of my favourites, Ron Zacappa was on the menu so I went for a cheaper and supprisingly flavoursome white Granche that complimeted my wifes baked cod...

Steak was so raw that I sent it back. The second one was equally worse. The same was true for three others of our company. Rest of the food was OK-ish. This place (posh pub) is in a great location although the food wasn’t very good but go for the river views you won’t be disappointed Food: 2 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 3
