We came here early on a Sunday night. Valet is available at the front of the restaurant $8. The layout of the resto is cozy but a bit tight and sometimes felt like I needed to get some air. I think brunch on the patio would be quite adorable though. Service is kind and welcoming albiet scattered and a bit slow. The food was a mixed experience. Appetizers: We ordered bread and butter as well as the tempura maitake to start. The batter was not fully cooked and I had a mouthful of uncooked, half-fried, gooey, batter that I washed down very quickly- yuck! Entree: Day Boat Scallops and Portobello Mushroom. Scallops were really delicious and executed very well. The plating was overly fanciful but...
My group of seven had a wonderful dinner at the Raymond this past Tuesday. We enjoyed the great weather we were having in the lovely outdoor seating area. Our waiter was very helpful and fun but most of all we really enjoyed our food and drink. I had the sea bass, and I don't think there was a spot left on my plate when the waiter came to pick it up. I ordered a custom mocktail that someone at the other end of the table had dreamed up, and it was fantastic. Everyone else also raved about their food and drink. I always used to associate this restaurant with really special occasions, but it was nice to see that it's also a great place to meet up with friends. I look forward to returning!
This is undoubtedly one of my favorite dining spots in Los Angeles, and it ranks as my top choice for brunch. It’s also the only place in the entire Los Angeles metropolitan area that makes my all-time favorite drink, the elusive Ramos gin fizz. This cocktail is notoriously disliked by bartenders due to its complexity, yet this restaurant features it on their menu. Their willingness to offer this challenging drink, when no one else in the city does, truly reflects their commitment to quality. Each time I visit, I'm welcomed by name, as if I were an old friend, and they have never failed to impress me.
This is one of the top cocktail bars in Pasadena. We ordered a round of cocktails from the menu, and for our second round, the mixologist crafted a drink of his choosing. He absolutely nailed it! If you're looking for a bar that has a deep knowledge of almost every type of spirit, I highly recommend The Raymond 1886. My husband and I dine at the Raymond every month, and tonight our waitress, Sarah, was exceptional. My parents, who are visiting from Toronto, had numerous questions about the menu, and Sarah provided clear answers and accommodated all of their requests. A couple of weeks ago, we held a dinner for about 30 guests at The Raymond 1886, and everything was fantastic. From the food and drinks to the attentive waitstaff and overall quality, we were thoroughly impressed with our experience. I highly recommend this place, especially if you can host your event on the outdoor patio—it's truly lovely!
Food- food is so delicious I had the dry boat scallops it was delicious. Service- the service is so amazing our server was super on point Ambiance- the ambiance is so pretty, I feel like I was in someone backyard. Overall the restaurant is amazing I really enjoy the atmosphere and the food
