The food, which is after all the raison d'être of a restaurant, is not great: the choice is extremely limited, it's not bad rather than good and rather expensive for what you get. The wine list is also limited, wine is sold only by the full bottle or by the glass (no pichet) and both methods are quite expensive. Service was OK, but since you only get burgers/salads type of food, they should pick up the pace: this isn't your old-fashioned French resto where you can agreeably spend over an hour and it doesn't matter that service is relaxed. I'm glad I didn't read the critics before dinner here, otherwise I would have been really discouraged. Seven of us (including two children) had dinner here for lunch and it was absolutely delicious. between us we had fish and chips, lasagna and hamburgers that were beautifully presented and desserts were huge and also succulent. the total bill was about 20 euros per person, which we liked given that some of us had alcohol. very friendly service. highly recommended, especially if you will take the children around the mechanical animals of the square.
La Roche sur Yon,a medium size city with an heritage of Napoleon,was very sleepy concerning restaurants. What was my surprise,visiting the new Place Napoleon with interresting sculptures and robots,to discover this restaurant,with large opening hours. The seating is perfect,in the plaza,the food and the service good. We had a caipirinha,nice cup of regional red wine,and Ribs. Early dinner very unusual in France. No doubt it became a place to be in La Roche sur Yon. Congratulations.

surrounded by water characteristics in this area. this restaurant is like a glass greenhouse, with seats inside and outside, very popular. We took two great meals in this restaurant. a lot of choice and reasonable price. a super friendly restaurant located in an ideal location. I would certainly recommend.
I have to admit that even if I used this place half a dozen times, I didn't eat, I just used it as a bar. I have to say that the tapas dishes I saw were very good. the staff was really nice and the place was always crowded inside and outside. Just a good place to go.
Varied menu to suit all tastes. Lively and friendly atmosphere. in the middle of the town always busy. Good spot in good weather to sit outside to enjoy coffee and see the world go by or read newspaper.

Lovely find whilst on a family visit to the town. Right in the heart of the centre the place was fairly busy on a weekday lunchtime. Food was nice, especially the desserts. A nice little find.
Good location in central square. Very busy in evenings so service was slow. Pizzas tasty but not very hot. Good puddings.
