We made reservations and when we arrived we were ignored. This place was positioned as a speakeasy style cigar bar so there is an expectation of an upscale experience. No guidance from staff that walked by us repeatedly and made zero eye contact with us. Do we order at the bar? Our reservation was marked by a piece of paper on the table with our name and reservation time. For being a cigar bar no one was smoking. 100% do not recommend.
Bourbon and Scotch selections are about the best around. Very good and knowledgeable bartender staff. Did not try the food. If you are in San Antonio and want to go to a place to try some Bourbons and Scotches that are harder to find, this is the place.
Always a great place for a great cocktail. Atmosphere is great. Gives you that prohibition era feel. While also feeling more upscale. Don’t go there looking for a gin and tonic. Go there looking for things a bit more advanced I’d say.
Always a great experience at 1919, little pricey but the mixologists know their stuff and the house made spicy tequila is a fave! Steigl grapefruit on tap is always a plus too. My man Travis kept us topped up! Reserviere jetzt einen Tisch
The service at this restaurant is exceptional and their bourbon selection is top-notch. The bartenders and Joe are very friendly and know their stuff!
Didn't stay long enough for a full experience so to speak, but the drinks were great and I look forward to going back and enjoying a variety.
