I have recently had to become vegetarian for a health issue. And this restaurant was amazingly accommodating. I started with the goat cheese and tomato appetizer. It came with a crisp on top that was deliciously salted. I got a vegetable plate (pictured below) that was beyond delectable. It pretty much hit every flavor on your palate. Cauliflower, Broccoli, shaved carrots all covered in a citrus vinaigrette; then with savory grains, purple rice with parmesan cheese, polenta and a beautiful tomato filled with couscous. Nice restaurant with great service but the Magical DIning items we selected were just fair at best. As a result, I don’t feel even with Magical DIning pricing that our meal represented a good value. Venison appetizer was exceptionally large portion and way too filling, heavy on hollandaise, and the meat not very flavorful. The main course Beef Short Rib likewise not very flavorful and the johnny cake and potatoes lacked distinct flavor and the gravy was absorbed by them leaving the entire plate tasting the same. The Dark Chocolate tart was perhaps the best of the meal however it seemed like an item that was prepared a day a go and sat in the fridge for too long, not fresh… Meal presentation...
Our second time dining here. First time we had drinks and brunch at the inside bar. Food, drinks and service were excellent! Second time dining we sat in the outside patio for brunch and we had our little golden doodle with us. They brought out a fresh water bowl for him without us having to ask. I had the Dutch oven pancake with sausage. Amazingly good!! My husband had the breakfast sandwich and it was just as good. Be sure to order the yeast rolls as an app! Melt in your mouth kinda good! I have to say even my cup of coffee was rich and delicious! And last but not least, service was attentive, friendly and helpful!
I never write reviews but this restaurant really deserves it! Choose it searching on web for my bday and I am so happy I did so. They really made my bday special giving me a menu which says Happy Birthday! What a detail! Details are what make life beautiful! Thanks 1921. That said the food was amazing. Its been a long time that I dont eat sooo good! We had the trout dip, incredible and delicate flavor. And after short ribs and halibut as entrees, both were amazing! Again thanks 1921 for an amazing experience for us at Mt. Dora!

I was surprised that a vegetarian entree was but given that this is a farm to table concept the price is justified. The food was well prepared and delicious, service was attentive, cocktail, beer and wine choices were ample. We dined fairly early and the restaurant was not particularly crowded and therefore quiet. I suspect even with more diners present the ambience would be pleasant.
Cory is an incredible server. I attended for my birthday and everything was super cute and I received a free birthday dessert. Even on the menu there was a personalized menu printed “Happy Birthday” and I got to meet the chef for the night. What an incredible experience. Thank you to all the staff
The pizza toppings were excellent but crust was burnt !! They tried to tell us this was how it was supposed to be ! Having had many pizzaâs from a pizza oven we knew it was burnt!!!! Main course was just ok. Actually mine was not hot!!! Scallops! Mushroom pasta was okay.
We ate in the bar, which was the noisiest spot in the house. The menu items and presentation were creative and beautiful. All three of us raved about our selections. A special place!
