I always try to swing by this place if I'm close to downtown Monrovia. I like it because it's a bit off the beaten path and it has plenty of space, plenty of positive service and most importantly plenty of beer. I started off trying the broken skull lager which was great and also tried the tartini sour at the recommendation of the Beerista. I love sours and the tartini was delish. I ended up having that and two Bahn Mi tacos with extra jalapenos. ️ I liked the beer so much that I ordered a second. I figured I ate two tacos I might as well make it even and have two beers. I am very happy to have finally tried this restaurant. They offer a good variety of vegan options and stay open later than most, which is a big plus. They also have outdoor seating available. I tried the Vegan Pizza and the This is Just the Veganning sandwich, both of which were delicious. The vegetables were not soggy and had a good flavor. I appreciated the use of cashew cheese on the pizza, although it could use a bit more seasoning. The sauce and dough were excellent. My only complaint is that the music playing was not to my liking, but as they say, every band has its fans.
Although there was a slight issue when asking about putting on a game, my Cuban sandwich was delicious and filling. The bread was good, the meat was tasty, and it came with a mixed greens salad and yummy chips. The restaurant had lots of TVs, but unfortunately they did not have NBA TV. However, the food was still good. The service was okay, and the atmosphere was decent. There was plenty of parking available. Overall, it was a good dining experience. Price per person was $20-30 for dinner.
Happened to be in the area for the Formula Drift competition at Speedway, and ended up here for some beer flights and yummy dinner. I had a 2 meat combo pastrami and brisket with fries and zucchini. ALL of it taste absolutely delicious. The meat literally melted in my mouth. Cooked to perfection. I live really far from the place, but I can see myself planning my dinner there if I am anywhere within a 15 mile radius or so. I had a delicious Cuban sandwich for lunch at this restaurant. The patio was lovely, the service was friendly, and the food was delicious. The plantain chips were the best I've ever tasted, and they had a great selection of beer. Overall, I would give the service, atmosphere, and food all a rating of 5. The price per person was between $10-$20, making it a great value for the quality of the meal. I highly recommend trying their beer selection.
This place is a hidden underrated gem. Brunch, lunch and dinner...you will be well taken care of and fed to your capacity.
