We stopped here during a recent visit to the Wachau Valley. The high season has ended, so the towns and roads were relatively quiet. We were lucky that the Restaurant Goldenes Schiff was open for lunch that day. This was among the best meals I have had over the course of an extended stay in Vienna. The wild boar goulash and the pumpkin pasta dishes were both delicately and creatively seasoned. And, my glass of Gruner Veltliner was excellent. I will definitely eat here again if I am lucky enough to return to this area.
We rode our bikes from Krems to Spitz and we had lunch here while waiting for our ship back to Krems. It was great. Our guests enjoyed Austrian dishes. The lunch for six people was served quickly enough for us to catch our ship in 50 min. We'll come back.
Samstagabend. Sehr entspannte und freundliche Atmosphäre. Und das Essen war köstlich, frisch, voller Geschmack, gut abgestimmte Portionsgrößen und schön präsentiert. 75 Euro für zwei Personen, drei Gänge, inklusive Getränke.
Schönes familiengeführtes Restaurant. Sprach Englisch, um die Speisekarte zu interpretieren. Rundum tolles Essen in unserer 6-köpfigen Gruppe. Guter VFM. Das Mittagessen war ausgezeichnet.
