This was not our first time to it’s always been an excellent meal. We love that they participate in restaurant week as we are local and feel that it’s a great time for anyone (but especially locals) a chance to experience the fine dining at a more reasonable price. We were seated right away and sat in the back which was a nice change as we are usually on the porch but the tables are a lot closer together. The server came over shortly and I felt that once he knew we were doing restaurant week he didn’t care about our table as much. This restaurant is usually our favorite, but our recent visit was not the best. We were seated near the kitchen backdoor, where the noise from dishes clattering and voices made it hard to enjoy our meal. The ambiance wasn't great, but other parts of the restaurant are better. Our main dishes were just average. The prime rib, cooked medium, was tough, dry, cold, and overdone for the price of $54. The mashed potatoes were cold and crumbly. The salmon medallions were decent but not as exceptional as they have been in the past. We will definitely give this restaurant another try in hopes of a better experience, as we have come to expect great things from 4 10 Bank Street.
The food at this restaurant is perfectly cooked and beautifully presented, living up to its excellent reputation. However, the prices are a bit high and some dishes, especially the appetizers and desserts, are overly complicated. Simplifying these dishes would improve the overall experience. The atmosphere is calm and the service on Thursday was exceptionally attentive.
Taking into consideration it was restaurant week, I'd say the dining experience was four stars. Food , really good, restaurant was loud , outside ambiance was beautiful. Unfortunately, we had to wait outside because our table was not ready.I did make reservations weeks in advance. It was cold outside too. I think I would definitely go back but not on restaurant week. We are Restaurant Week groupies and Bank provided one of the best of our dining experiences. Our appetizers, scallops and the shark, were perfect. The voodoo shrimp was both interesting and delicious. Desserts were the pecan cheesecake, more of a pecan pie (delicious crust) and bread pudding were so good we took some home. Just an exceptional meal.
The food was excellent and service was also. The pork chops dish I had was the best pork dish I ever had. Everything was done to perfection, it was very noisy but everything else about the place was wonderful.
We went for restaurant week and were soo disappointed. It was so loud we couldn’t hear ourselves talk. The food was not up to their usual standards
Server was extremely conscientious of my food allergies. Appetizers, entrees and desserts were unusual and delicious. Thanks Reserviere jetzt einen Tisch
