As stated by a couple of other reviewers this was not easy to find. They have their logo up on the side of the building, but Waze took me to the opposite side of the building. Having the brewery name on the building would make it much easier for potential customers to locate them. For anyone coming after me, the building is at the northeast corner of 74th and Narragansett. The small unmarked pedestrian door right next to the roll up door that faces Narragansett is the entrance. Yes there is no real sign. I guess the adventure in finding it is part of the allure. The taproom is a corner of the brewery and looks like it could really be hopping at times with quite a few large tables available....
What a delightful adventure we just experienced at 5 Rabbit Cervecería! First of all, what an incredible and inspiring mission: creating quality and delectable cerveza (beer) in the tradition of Latin America! Second of all, the beer is outstanding! I partook in their $14 flight of five beers and never before have I been so pleased with every single beer! The 5 Rabbit and 5 Lizard were very solid...taking a more complex twist in more traditional beers! I also really liked the Yodo con Lèche porter! So creamy and full of flavor! Every single aspect was top notch. Service: amazing. Came over to the picnic table and helped us pick a flight. Beer: each one was better than the last. If the cacao (imperial stout) is available GET IT. Hands down the best stout I 've ever had. Also had the experimental xicago 3.0 perfect and almost light Mexican lager. But the 5 lizards was like summer in a glass and on a cold day in January in chicago, it was great. Bathrooms are mixed but all have locking stalls now. Decor and ambiance was great! Worth checking out if you're a fan of their beer and want to be a completist in visiting all the Chicago breweries. Their beers are good, ironica ipa is my favorite, but they don't make many new ones, it's basically always the same line up. Their taproom is big, with a lot of space, but kind of hard to get to, in the middle of a trucking area near Bedford Park. They have board games, and sometimes bean bags, and also food trucks are usually there. The other downside is they're only open half the week, and not Sundays, so you have to plan around that when trying to visit. 5rabbit is a great cervecería! We went with friends and loooveee it. We went Thursday night, because they have tacos! Taco Thursday, 5:30-9pm Make sure to arrive early! The tacos will be gone if you are to late. The selection of beers is wonderful and the beers are so tasty. We had Xicago The Dama and Cacao If you want to have a good local experience This is the place. Is a little far from Chicago, but is absolutely worth the trip. They have some board games on the tap room. If you don't want to come for taco Thursday, you can bring your own food other day. Or order something. We really enjoyed it. Salud!
Went to this brewery over the weekend for a family engagement party, there was a lot of different unique beer combinations that I wish I had tried. Everything from a tomato based and chili pepper infused beer, among fruit flavored beers like passionfruit. The art work around the brewery was awesome and very well decorated. Overall a great experience, it was so busy on a Saturday night that parking was completely packed and we found people parking on the grass. haha
We loved 5Rabbit Cerveceria. Inspired by Latin America but brewed in Bedford Park, they have shown me some of my favorite brews. Some you have to try: Yodo Con Leche, 5Vulture, SuperPils, Gringolandia Ironica IPA, La Piña de Mis Ojos. They also host great events and have delicious tacos, usually once a week. Excited to see what is next!
Its been a bit since being in there but it was off putting. The things that come out of the mouths of the staff here really raises eyebrows. It seems like management probably have the same mindset. Stopped by for taco Thursday and so glad I did. They bring in a taco guy. Beef or pork. Excellent accompaniment with their fantabulos beer! These are the very best, most creative and just fucking tasty beers I have ever had. And trust me, I love beer. That's a huge statement. Long live 5 Rabbit Cerveceria!
