This establishment is around the corner from where we live and for some reason or another, we never visited until recently. Well, we stopped in the other evening, and I must say, it was some of the best apizza I've ever had the pleasure of crunching on. The dough is flavorful, thin, crunchy and cooked to perfection. The sauce was sweetly delightful and the quality toppings, topped off a pleasurable, memorable first encounter. Additionally, the staff was very friendly and attentive. Being a Wooster Street native and self described pizza snob, I'm upset for not visiting much sooner! But, I'll be back VERY soon!!!
Never ordered here before, I was passing through Middlebury and I googled pizza in Middlebury and just called to order a 12 inch pizza, with meatballs on half and caramelized onions on the whole thing.They asked me Red? I said yes.When I was told $22.38, I nearly said forget it. But, thought Well, this must be real good and decided to go for it.In my world, pizza comes with cheese,Unless you specify no cheese.I was very disappointed to pay $22 for some dough and a few toppings.Maybe that 's just the going rate in Middlebury?To be fair, the sauce and meatballs were good, if not plentiful.No thanks on this place!
I live in Middlebury and this is the first time I went to this restaurant. Generally, it was very good. Apparently they have expanded the space in recent times and have installed a very large bar with high tops. I had the Jagger pizza with vodka sauce, cherry tomatoes, and fresh mozzarella. It was really quite delicious and I believe it was made in the Napoletano style. Very thin crust, slightly burnt edges, and a little chewy as it should be. The waiter was very friendly and helpful, albeit a little inexperienced. I will definitely come back and try other menu items.
This was definitely my favorite pizza place when it first opened; I had never tasted anything quite like it before (pre-COVID). Unfortunately, it seems that the recipes and ingredients have changed, and the pizza just doesn't have the same appeal anymore. I can only hope that the new owners can bring back the original charm that made it so special. It truly was one of a kind in the past. To make matters worse, my previous glowing review is still featured on their website, but after three visits under new ownership, that review feels completely outdated.

My fiancée and I have been living in Middlebury for a couple of years now, and we truly love this restaurant. The menu is fantastic, and the owners and staff are wonderful. It's not often that you find a place that consistently has a stable workforce and high-quality service, which speaks volumes about the ownership. If something isn’t quite right, just let them know, and they’ll make it right. Don’t leave unhappy without saying anything; instead, speak up, and I guarantee they’ll resolve any issues.
I visited this restaurant previously for the shrimp Mozambique and asked the owner if the sauce contained any alcohol, to which he confidently replied that it did not. However, when I returned last weekend and asked the chef, he confirmed that it does contain wine. I was extremely upset, as I do not consume alcohol in my food. This lack of honesty from the owner was disappointing. I do not find it acceptable, and I will not be returning again.
Friendly workers, owners, and the pizza is absolutely phenomenal! Favorite pizza place! The wings and Italian homemade food is also delicious! Comfortable environment and very enjoyable!
This place used to be great, do yourself a favor and skip this if you're passing through, staying for a bit, live here, or for any reason actually. Just dont go.
