My wife had to send back her eggs, which were supposed to be over easy but were instead overcooked. When they were returned to the kitchen, I overheard the cook complaining. While we didn’t spend a fortune on these brunch items, if the basics aren't done well, it makes us hesitant to try the more expensive menu options. This was our second disappointing experience at this restaurant, and on a Sunday morning, it was evident from the lack of customers compared to the bustling State Fare that they need to find better direction. I genuinely wish them luck, but it will be difficult for me to return unless I hear they've made improvements.
When we arrived for our reservation, we found that the kitchen was closed, and the staff informed us that they had canceled their contract with OpenTable. This was particularly disappointing since it was the day after Christmas, and I had been looking forward to a nice meal. Thankfully, we were able to get a table at Catonsville Gourmet across the street. I recommend trying them first and skipping 818 altogether.
I had brunch at this restaurant, and the omelets were large and delicious. They also come with potatoes, but I found it unusual that there was no bread served. It was also strange that there were no desserts or pastries available during brunch. However, aside from that, it was a lovely brunch experience overall.
Only the problem was the sound that came from the party in the back room. Ravens played so that there was a fair amount of fan enthusiasm all over the place. Bakery, cheese shop and small shopping area below a real find.

I went here on a whim but will definitely be back. The market was amazing and the restaurant was great.
The food and service were wonderful. Definitely start with the Heathbar bread pudding 1st next visit.
Excellent food, ambiance and the Rosegold Experience jazz band was outstanding!
The band was super food was good had a little problem, but was quickly unwound
