One of many chain locations, 85 Degree Bakery Cafe here in Glendale competes with a bigger local favorite just a few hundred feet away. This is a good alternative if the lines of said competition are too long.The style is light, airy, and not overly sweet for their pastry items. Cakes and other dessert items are also lighter in structure and you won't find many heavy creams here.Drink items are your Asian teas and modern boba milk tea concoctions. There is coffee, but it really isn't good coffee. Additional flavors and additions are a bit chemically.But I do love some of their buns and individually portioned desserts. Excellent baked goods, excellent coffee. But I guess they really don 't cater to people hanging out there, seats are right next to the machines, bathrooms always being fixed , no Wi-Fi.The 85 coffee is very good, I believe their line that espresso tastes best the way they brew it. Sugar and milk notwithstanding, the coffee itself tastes so good. Parking: You have to go around the block to the parking structure where it is free for a time.
Tables are FILTHY and not well maintained ..... please double check your receipts and your orders just to avoid disappointments..... Products are well made......but with PREMIUM PRICES that WE PAY FOR; ONE EXPECTS AMBIANCE AND PROFESSIONAL WORK ETHICS (side note) ......I have been to other 85° and which is how I can make these observations.

Every visit is a different delight.The service is always super fast, and I have yet to be let down.Had their Deluxe Strawberry Cream cake and Salted Iced Matcha, and I've been flying ever since!
I had a Taro Lavender Latte and it was one of the best lattes I ever had in my life. And it's caffeine free. Had a delicious custard roll too. Great service and attentive staff.
85 Bakery in Sherman Oaks is much better. Here, for instance, strawberry maycha is almost unsweatened and without strawberry, which is not right.
