Having had mussels in several places before here we were losing hope that we wouldn't get freshly cooked mussels and only served batch cooked and rubbery mussels. We had been a few places in Vendée and as Mussels are our favourite family food but we had been disappointed however on our last night we decided one last try and went here. We last ate at this restaurant on a pre covid visit and loved the freshness of the mussels and the richness of the sauce. Our meal left a lasting memory and ignited our love of moules cooked well, so when we returned to St Jean De Monts again this year we were delighted to see that “A Chacun son Moule”was still there. We have just revisited and we were just as delighted. They don’t offer a big menu just moules cooked beautifully with a good selection of rich well reduced sauces and frites shaped to scoop up every bit of the delicious juices. With the service being equally pleasant…. Would I recommend…….. mais oui! Superb… merci beaucoup!
Small portions, not enough sauce, weird bowls. The moules are just OK, nothing special. There are better places around here with bigger portions that don't charge you for extra chips if you run out. Also, we were refused a table outside as we hadn't booked even though 2 were available. They were still available when we finished and we watched one being given to group of young lads who hadn't booked either. Was very disappointed as we came here when it first opened and it was much better than this. I suspect getting number 1 on Tripadvisor has gone to their heads :
Bon OK, en vacances au bord de la mer on a envie de manger des moules frites et de nombreux restaurants en proposent. La plupart cuisent les moules et versent la sauce voulue dessus en fin de cuisson. Là c'est vraiment cuit avec la sauce et qui plus est avec un très grand choix. Un peu plus cher qu'ailleurs (16 euros) mais bien meilleur et ça vaut le coup...

the best mussels we ate. the sauces offered are excellent and come out of the ordinary (from leeks to lazy (and waitress) is very pleasant and professional. a very good time spent in this restaurant and an excellent discovery. However, be careful to book during the strong summer tributaries, the restaurant is relatively small!
Un accueil très sympathique, de bon conseil pour le choix des sauces des moules . Grand originalité de la déco avec des moules qui servent à tout Seul petit bémol pour ma part le choix des dessert un peu trop restrictif. J y retrouverai avec grand plaisir et je le conseille
