Not sure why this place has good reviews. I ordered 2 subs and they were both bad. The bread, and cold cuts were all stale. The mozzarella was not fresh. The cappocola was cut so thick and was so chewy I had to remove it from the sub. The back and white cookie was old and dried out. The saddest part is I paid $54 for two subs, one Fri, one chip, and a black and white cookie. Sinful and I threw out most of the sandwiches and cookie. Go somewhere else. Trust me I dont like leaving bad reviews.
Awesome place to grab a quick sammy with all the style, taste and friendliness of the neighborhood deli. If we lived closer we would be here too often I fear...if we had a cooler, we would have stocked up on all the goodies in the case for sure! Hubs and I had #11 and #18...both amazingly delish! Perfect bread and loaded up with all the goodies...and this place makes carbs not only ok, but worthwhile. A perfect place to pop into if you need a quick authentic bite!! Will be back!!!
I grew up across the street from Fords shopping center. It has changed a lot over the years in terms of the stores that occupy it. One thing that hasn't charged is the absolute quality you get at this establishment. Nothing is a half measure at A& G and on top of that they genuinely seem to enjoy their customers. My grandparents went there, my parents went there, and now as an adult that moved out of the area, I still go there.
Not sure why this place has good reviews. Its hard to not like a sandwich. The cold cuts we not fresh but stale. The bread was also stale. The fresh mozzarella not fresh. Finally the Cappocola was cut so thick I had to start it out. Was more like beef Jerky. To top it all off I paid $54 dollars for two sandwiches, one bag of chips, one French fri and a black and white cookie. Steer clear of this place.
OMG!!! This place is absolutely amazing. I'm usually not the one to be at a loss of words in amazement, but I guess there's a first time for everything! If you want delicious authentic Italian food, you're in luck! This place is God tier!
Can?t say enough about this business. As soon as you walk InThe door John or Charlie will make you feel at home you can order anything on the menu and be blown away all in house homemade Italian recipes. Best sandwiches in NJ!!!!
