We wanted a change of pace from Portuguese cuisine, so we looked up Italian restaurants. Restaurante a Gondola met our expectations. A small plate of cold antipasti cheese, olives etc) was brought to the table. It’s not free, so if you don’t want it, tell the waiter. We also got a plate of garlic bread. Better by far than the humdrum antipasti! The bread was baked in the wood burning pizza oven, and was warm, crusty and garlicky. We all had pasta for main course. Tagliatelle with salmon—very good; spaghetti bolognese also very good; spaghetti a la arabbiata so-so—very little sauce not at all spicy. You have to know it in order to find it and then when you find it, you have to know that it is not just another pizzeria; it's actually the unusual fact of a local gourmand restaurant by an international chef that went home! And he does wonders! We had a filet, ordered it bleu and it actually arrived real bleu; not matured apparently, just fresh, tasty, soft and fantastic. With a salad and great chips, we were in heaven! And then for that price. Don't tell anybody; just try it. The dessert presentation is amazing and the semifrio lemon tart with framboise sorbet is the best. O atendimento foi péssimo. Primeiro, colocarem as entradas em cima da mesa e dissemos que não iríamos consumir e então podiam enviar para trás, ao qual o funcionário responde com arrogância e diz “vieram para comer ou para beber” deixando a comida em cima da mesa. Em segundo, ainda haviam pessoas a comer na mesa e começaram a levantar os pratos de quem já tinha terminado, achei de mau tom. Mas nem tudo estava mal, a comida estava muito boa!
One of the nicest place for lunch or dinner in Bragança. A very wonderful combination of traditional food and Italian food and with an extremely friendly service. This place has been a success since its opening and every day is a treat. Desserts are also outstanding and the place, although quite large, is not loud and there is more than enough privacy between tables. They also have a wonderful take away service. É um restaurante com comida predominantemente italiana mas nada de especial. Funcionários simpáticos, decoração nada de especial e preços acima do que é servido. Alguns pratos são invenções mal conseguidas. Apesar de já ter ido várias vezes e ter experimentado vários pratos, não convenceu.
Really good pizza, good appetizers, onion soup, tiramisu and wine. Unfortunately, not such nice pasta with salmon... Anyway, the staff takes care of the guests. They doesn’t speak English, but Portuguese and a little bit of Italian.
Fomos muito bem recebidos, principalmente pelo Brian, a comida estava 5 estrelas, tenho que destacar o pão de alho excelente. Todo o atendimento foi top.
