We haven't been to this restaurant for a while and I had forgotten how much I like this place; the staff are really friendly and attentive, the food is excellent and the ambiance is very relaxing. If there was one tiny complaint it is due to the portion size. I had a steak which was beautifully cooked and the portion size was good. However, my husband had the burger and although he said it was excellent he could have quite easily eaten a 2nd one. Would I go back - yes definitely and I would recommend it to anyone wanting excellent homemade food in good surroundings.
We had lunch a la Bonne Cave today. We struggled a little with the translation on the menu but staff and diners were very helpful in explaining the dishes. We chose the gambas & scallops and we were not disappointed. The food was beautifully cooked and by far the best we have eaten on our holiday. The town is also worth a visit - very quaint. Would definitely recommend a meal a le Bonne Cave - excellent value for money.
Met up with some friends here for lunch. Very busy little spot with lots of locals having their lunch there so we were lucky to get a table for 6. As we were in no hurry we just chatted as we waited for our three courses to come. we were one of the first groups in and were definitely the last to leave.Would definitely go here again, right in the heart of this medieval town in the shadow of the old tower.
Starter explored all that fresh food can in the way of quality melon goats cheese etc followed b perfectly cooked cod on a bed of courgette flavoured with local black pudding; such a feast for the eyes let alone the taste buds! Desserts were equally complimentary- we have never been disappointed and always surprised by the seasonal nature of the menu

Pretty location but short staffed, very slow service had to wait 40 minutes to get a drink. Unhelpful lack of English language with a very traditional French cuisine based menu. Not young person's friendly. Must improve my French if I felt like going back.
We eat here after being turned away from another local restaurant despite having booked in person earlier in the day!Five of us dined on the outside terrace and each of the group enjoyed the evening - good service and great food. We will be back soon!
I choose the menu of the day and were delightful surprised by the quality. It was the best boudin ever with walnuts in the middle on a bed of home made fantastic mashed potatoes.With a glass of rose sitting on the terrace, it was a perfect lunch.
Absolutely not recommended. The menu du jour was pork cooked to a frazzle and runner beans out of a tin. No wonder we were the only fools in there at lunch time. Avoid

Apparently this place has recently changed management, and we had a lovely meal outside on the terrace with very friendly service, it was very good value too
