This little gem isn't on the main pedestrian street in pretty Menton so might be missed if one doesn't venture a little further away from the more touristy areas. It's only a couple of blocks up from Rue St. Michel and is indeed in the shadow of the bells (the name of the restaurant). It's always a good sign when the locals eat there, too! We had two very good midday meals, with a glass of wine and beer to start, a demi of red wine with our meal, and shared a fabulous homemade chocolate mousse for dessert all for 50 Euros. Service was friendly, fast terrific, fast. The chef really knows how to cook. We love Menton and will definitely be back the next time we visit.
Coming this noon in this restaurant, which is not in the eye, we were pleasantly seduced by a warm and family welcome. A fast and quality service. The dishes are excellent and it is not said lightly. Shock of octopus and false net to the top. Homemade fries and mixed with generous vegetable and carefully prepared. Finally, desserts or cheese board will delight gourmets or hungry people. I recommend coming to this restaurant that deserves to be known.
