This is the place to eat in Ourense for an authentic experience. It was exceptional! We are a couple looking for a good but unpretentious dinner and man was this an experience! The wine recommendation was excellent (regional) and went perfectly with our meals (10 euros pp). The host is extremely welcoming and really treats this place as his home. The interior looks like a cave so unique and private. We had a fantastic time! There are so many tourist places that are there to rip you off, that it is refreshing to find a place where good food, good wine, friendly staff and authentic Galicia come together. Strongly recommended, we will be back!
We were on our way home and we decided to drink a beer and cider. We decided to get something to eat as well. The owner suggested to try chorizo that just came in. The owner is very passionate about what he does. The food came out with some tomatoes topped off with olive oil and some bread. We ate the chorizo so fast, it was very delicious. The owner invited us to some shots and dessert. He gave us a tour of his bodega. We will be coming back!
Hicimos una reserva y no encontramos el lugar por lo que no pudimos llegar. Después de pasar 5 minutos de la hora de reserva, el restaurante nos envió un mensaje de texto con una serie de insultos extremadamente racistas contra los latinos e incluso nos amenazó con denunciarnos porque perdimos nuestra reserva. Our quest was to sample local wines, and the proprietor had such passion that we sampled 3 very, very good wines. The Owners show that they love wines, cheese, and cured meats. A very pleasant surprise in Ourense that we'd recommend to anyone.
