As we don't speak French we could not read all the notice boards in front of the restaurant and were not sure what to expect. It was a cute little restaurant with just few tables which creates nice atmosphere. There was only one set menu...so we were not able to pick but the menu was outstanding (all three courses had fish/seafood). Dessert might have been a bit lacking behind the other courses but everything was really tasty. I assume it was the owner serving us but due to the fact we did not have any language in common we had only very limited chat. I would definitely come back.
we went there on a cold morning with another standard restaurant. but this restaurant with its owner is different. he does not serve customers who speak on the handy and composes his (fish dominated) menus all of themselves. he has all kinds of French bonmots and food recommendations on boards, a very cozy atmosphere. his eating was far beyond expectations. we had fish on two species and he sprinkled fresh local (unknown) crumbled on them before serving a symphony in different flavors. we recommend this resto to anyone who wants to be surprised!
we sunk outside during a rainstorm on the covered terrace of this cozy restaurant. it has been fun to hear the rain-pound while we enjoyed the fresh, local foods that were lovingly prepared in an open kitchen. chef pierre was a charming chat partner and they could see the passion. he's got for his stuff. he led us to his metzger and even catches some of his own crawlers. the food was delicious, and the cheese plate for dessert was amazing.
last week the menu here was happy at a head. all freshly cooked and delicious when a little expensive. the owner comes to chat and had a pleasant evening, although not quite merit the stars, for reasons I can't start my...finger on perhaps a slight lack of atmosphere as a bit away from the main tow. but still not complaining
